14 named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region 4 team

PITMAN, NJ — A total of 14 NJAC men’s soccer players were recognized as All-Region 4 honorees by the United Soccer Coaches Association, with five earning First Team honors.

NJAC team champion Rowan leads all teams with five All-Region picks, including three on the First Team. Montclair State, Ramapo and Rutgers-Newark placed two each on the All-Region squad, and one each from Kean, Rutgers-Camden and Stockton received recognition.

The Rowan trio of Turlough Gartlan, Ryan Cleary and Johnny Troiano, along with Montclair State’s Ian Chesney and Rutgers-Newark’s Erick Cortes, earned first-team honors and now advance to All-America voting.
