2 players Crimson Tide wants on signing day

Early signing day is getting closer and closer.

Alabama Football currently has 22 commitments in its 2025 class but is looking to add more as it once again looks to secure one of the top recruiting classes in the 2025 cycle. Alabama’s class of 2025 is currently ranked No. 2 nationally according to the 247Sports Composite.

The Crimson Tide’s most recent recruiting class of 2024 finished with 27 commitments and was the second-best recruiting class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Crimson Tide’s most recent No. 1 recruiting class came the year before in 2023.

Here are two players the Crimson Tide have their sights set on early signing day.

Alabama football recruiting targets

Four-star wide receiver Derek Meadows is at the top of Alabama’s flip list. Meadows is a current LSU football player and has been committed to the Tigers since July 2024. A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Meadows is the No. 3 prospect in Nevada for the 2025 season and the No. 17 wide receiver in the class. If he were to transfer, Meadows would join three-star Lotzeir Brooks in the 2025 wide receiver room at Alabama. What sets him apart from Brooks is his size alone. Meadows is 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, Brooks is 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds.

Another target for the Crimson Tide is four-star cornerback Maison Dunn from Tupelo, Mississippi. Dunn has been committed to Ole Miss since May 2024, but the Crimson Tide signed him late. He is the No. 11 player in Mississippi in the 2025 class and the No. 27 cornerback in that class, according to the 247Sports Composite. If he were to flip, Dunn would join five-star Dijon Lee and four-star Chuck McDonald in Alabama’s 2025 cornerback room.
