3 fantasy football streaming kickers to watch in Week 14

The kicker position remains the easiest position to stream in fantasy football. Many managers simply ignore the kicker spot, leaving the rest of us with nice value every week.

Streaming kickers won’t make or break your fantasy match most weeks, but giving up a few valuable points isn’t a luxury most of us can afford as the playoffs get closer and closer.

Here are the best fantasy football streaming kickers, all available in at least 50% of leagues in Week 14.

1. Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals (@DAL) – 57.3% available

Evan McPherson is one of my favorite kicker plays of the week, streamer or not, so seeing him at nearly 60% availability is an absolute treat.

The Bengals promise to be among the highest-scoring teams in action in Week 14, as they are considered 5.5-point favorites in a game with 49.5 points over/under (giving them an implied total of 27 points results). And that spot against the Cowboys was great for the kickers.

Obviously teams don’t “defend” kickers in the traditional way, but things like poor defense and even poor offense (giving up a favorable starting position) absolutely contribute to how good a match is, and we can see that in the way they play How kickers are performing against the Dallas Cowboys since the demise of Dak Prescott.

The Cowboys have allowed 10, 10, 9 and 10 fantasy points to kickers in the four games Cooper Rush has started. Even at the season level, they allow the seventh-most fantasy points per game at this position.

A shootout on Monday Night Football is a great place for McPherson to find the right fantasy moment in the midst of a disappointing season.

2. Tyler Bass, Buffalo Bills (@LAR) – 56.1% available

I know you’re tired of reading about Tyler Bass almost every week in this column, but he remains available in over 50% of leagues and is a clear top-12 option. He’s tied for 10th in fantasy scoring this year and the Bills are in for another great matchup where he can score big points in Week 14.

Bass comes out of the snow, which played a big role in him scoring just 5 fantasy points last week, and heads to LA to face the Rams. The Bills are right behind the Bengals in implied totals this week, as this game also has an over/under of 49.5 points and the Bills have the advantage by 4.5 points.

His matchup is even comparable to McPherson, with the Rams ranking one spot behind the Cowboys at the position in fantasy points per game. The kickers have also shown great consistency against the Rams – especially in the last few games. Over the last four weeks, they have allowed a whopping 12.25 fantasy points per game and have not held an opposing kicker under 10 points during that time.

The Rams have scored on 45.5% of their drives this season (fifth most in the NFL), while the Bills have scored on 49.2% of their offensive drives (No. 3 in the NFL). Considering that Bass will be at least partially involved in almost every scoring effort, these are obviously some favorable numbers for his fantasy.

3. Brandon McManus, Green Bay Packers (@DET) – 93.4% available

Brandon McManus, featured in last week’s Kicker Streaming column, scored 13 fantasy points, ranking sixth. That’s two straight weeks in double digits, and the Packers’ kicker position remains good for fantasy production. Keep in mind that even the wildly inaccurate Brayden Narveson is still ranked 10th at the position this year at 9.5 points per game.

His matchup isn’t quite as exciting as McPherson’s or Bass’s, but he’s much more likely to be available even in deeper or sharper leagues. For the two above, calling them “streamers” almost feels like cheating because they tick so many boxes, but McManus is more of a true streaming option.

One thing he has in common with them is a possible shootout this week, as the 51.5 point over/under for the Packers-Lions is the highest on the board at FanDuel Sportsbook in Week 14. The pack is underdogs here, but at +3.5 they are not expected to explode.

There will be plenty of points up for grabs on Thursday and McManus should once again get his fair share of it.
