3 reasons why the Vegas Golden Knights will win the Stanley Cup this season

2023 was an excellent season for Las Vegas. It consisted of promise from Bill Foley when the Vegas Golden Knights won their first Stanley Cup. The local economy was also booming. Hockey fans around the world came to see the Golden Knights.

Okay, let’s be honest. They went on vacation.

Nevertheless, “Golden Misfits” such as Reilly Smith and Jonathan Marchessault completed their famous run. People are no longer tithing on the new children on the block, because they have finally realized their lifelong dreams.

Of course, that came with specific circumstances. First, the Golden Knights won the Pacific Division. As in the opening season, they were over in the tops division and blew past teams such as the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars.

They also had 111 points this season. Before 2024-25, there were only two cases in which they had more than 100 points in one season. Both seasons have initiated the final of the Stanley Cup at the minimum.

This season is no different. Vegas is about to complete his fourth title of the Pacific Department. You also have 105 points that enter the game on Saturday against Nashville Predators. It will be a kind of family reunification in which Marchessault and Smith will see each other again. This time only the Toronto born in the vicinity (at least for this season).

These circumstances are pending and make fans assume that they will win another Stanley Cup. There are also many good reasons for this. In the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup playoffs, it goes beyond an advantage of the home ice.

1.) Reilly Smith has revived the special teams of Vegas Golden Knights

Before you read this, you know that the Vegas Golden Knights have the best power game in the league on Saturday (29.1%). This applies partly by Tomas Hertl (14 Power Play goals) and Pavel Dorofeyev (13 Power Play goals), which gives unity the best season ever.

However, Reilly Smith’s return also caused miracles for the penalty murder. Before the game on Saturday, the unit approved a Power Play goal at eleven penalty meter meter meter meter -mesh comas. They even scored a short goal with Smith Assisting.

Suddenly the outputs look smooth. The unity fights for the puck and makes life difficult for the opponents. Without the return of the “MISFIT”, the group would have been in a major argument.

2.) Jack Eichels Renaissance

What else is there to say about Jack Eichel? The Golden Knights striker broke out as an elite center and scored 93 points in 2024-25. He wore both the power play and the offensive attack for Vegas (3.30 goals per game).

But he is not only good in the regular season. Eichel has also shown that he is valuable during the Stanley Cup playoffs. He has nine goals and 24 templates in 27 career playoff games. When the Golden Knights win the Stanley Cup again, then that they have a solid playoff actor. Speaking of playoff actor …

3.) Adin Hill will impress all (even Golden Knights fans)

It’s not easy to be Adin Hill. The native Calgary has to deal with grilling him because they miss Logan Thompson. Nevertheless, he has proven to be a reliable playoff actor. Hill has a GAA of 2.09 and a savings rate of 0.932 in 19 career games played.

This does not even mentions how he wore the golden knights this season. He has a GAA of 2.46 (sixth in the NHL), four shut -outs (for the seventh) and a saving of 0.908. Add in 15.8 goals that are expected above, and Las Vegas is confident about her Stanley Cup chances in the next week.
