4 Tigers pick up all-ACC honors

Clemson, SC (WSPA) four Members of the Messrson basketball team have achieved all-ACC honors after a historical season in which the Tigers achieved a record number of victories.

Chase Hunter and Ian Schiefelin received nod from the all-Conference teams, while Jaeden Zackery and Viktor Lakhin were awarded the league on Monday.

Senior Guard Hunter received his first post-season honor after he was appointed to the all-access team. The award does it for three years, a tiger received the award (PJ Hall, 2024; Hunter Tyson, 2023).

Hunter leads Clemson with 16.0 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.4 blocks. It is one of only two players in the country for an average of 16 points and shoots at least 0.470/.410/.870 from the field, three and free -wire line.

The Georgia bid of Atlanta is only two points behind the sixth place at Clemson with 1,724 points. He is sixth ever in Assists (430).

In his senior season, Schiefelin passed from last year’s league that was most improved. He has an average of the best 12.9 points per game with 9.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.

Schiefelins 11 double double this season brought him to speed for another 300 rebound season. He is currently seventh in school history with 852 rebounds in a career.

The Boston College Transfer Zackery was added to the ACC all-defensive team and is with an average of 1.97 per game in the league in the league in Steals (61). His 61 steals have so far been the 10th place in school history for a single season.

Lahkin received a general mention after publishing a career high of 11.6 points per game and a 38.3% three point percentage. He also recorded career numbers in defense with 49 blocks and 32 steals.

Clemson opens the ACC tournament on Thursday, March 13, at 9:30 p.m. The Tigers will play the winner of Smu and Syracuse/Florida State.
