An initial investigation revealed that a 63-year-old man was driving north in the 400 block of South Linden when he failed to negotiate a curve, drove onto the property and stopped after hitting a detached garage, according to Miamisburg police.

Bradley Mohr lives across the street from the scene of the accident.

“A truck came by here and it must have jumped on its side and hit several trees, which I heard with heavy metal bangs,” he said.

Mohr immediately went outside to see what was going on.

He was saddened to learn that the crash was fatal.

“Hopefully, after losing people in traffic accidents, they can find some peace in the future and … face their grief,” Mohr said.

Mohr said his friend, a drunk driver, killed him.

“Grief is never easy. Hopefully, hopefully in the end they will find peace with it, of course, as with any problem, find good people and seek professional help if needed,” he said.

No further details about the accident were released by police.
