83-year-old woman who was saved from a burning car in Massachusetts

Two neighbors in East Bridgewater did not know each other a few days ago, but after what they saw and how they helped, the youngest strangers look more like well -known friends. On Saturday afternoon, the two of the opposite directions ran towards a burning car along Route 106.

“I heard a big crash, I thought the tree fell on my house,” Dina recalled.

“The pole had been cut out exactly to hang the wires,” said Matt Donlin of the dangerous scene.

Good Samariters perform CPR

There was no time to think, but somehow they reacted calmly and carefully, drove the unconscious driver and started CPR until an ambulance arrived.

“The car burned, so we pulled it out of the car. She didn’t breathe; had no pulse,” said Hartsbrove, who is a nurse.

The 83-year-old Bridgewater woman was brought to the Boston Medical Center. July McDonald von WBZ spoke with her family on the phone and said that they were endlessly grateful for the gift of this time: to hug and keep their mother and grandmother who is surrounded by the people they love.

“I have the feeling that everyone was brought there at this moment. If we hadn’t all worked together to get them out, there would have been no chance of doing CPR,” said HartsGrove.

“Good -hearted and caring people”

The chief of police praised the good Samaritan and gave them a shining example of the “good -hearted and caring people” who fill their city.

“You don’t even feel it when you do it. Something inside you do it. It is a small world in which we live and we have to take care of each other,” said Donlin.

“I would hope that someone would do this for my family and that we only pray for Gail and their family,” said Hartsmert.
