#9/7 Bobcats Stop by SHU on Children’s Day

HAMDEN, Conn. – No. 9/7 Quinnipiac women’s hockey survived a 2-1 contest against SHU on Tuesday afternoon in front of 1,878 fans.

Neither team was able to get much going in the first half, with QU dominating in shots on goal, 17-5.

A little over a minute into the second period, SHU tied the game scoreless when a puck flew past Felicia Frank.

Maya Labad replied just five minutes later to tie it at one.

Although the Bobcats dominated most of the game, the score remained 1-1 until then Emerson Jarvis scored on a shot from the SHU goaltender, leading the Bobcats to a 2-1 win.

Statistics and notes

  • Zoe Uens had two assists in the third multi-assist game of her career.
  • Maya Labad scored her ninth goal of the season and the 45th of her career.
  • Emerson Jarvis scored her first game-winning goal of the season.
  • Jenna Donohue recorded her seventh assist of the season and the 32nd of her career.
  • Maddy Samoskevich played her 150th game as a Bobcat.
  • QU took a 34-21 lead on faceoff.
