9 New Jersey Cities That Must Be in a Typical Christmas Movie

This is the most wonderful time of the year for networks like Hallmark and Lifetime.

One of the best Christmas films from these channels is undoubtedly The most wonderful time of the year.

Never heard of it?

The one and only Henry Winkler is there! If that’s not enough to get you to watch, I don’t know what else I can say.

It also doesn’t follow the classic Christmas romance movie where the big city girl returns to her hometown for Christmas and meets up with someone from her past who owns a very charming shop.

The most wonderful time of the year is about a busy single mother (Brooke Burns) whose uncle visits her for Christmas and brings with him a friendly stranger he met at the airport.

I’m sure you can figure out how it ends. Even if you can, it’s still worth a look.

From my very brief research, it looks like there isn’t a single Hallmark or Lifetime Christmas movie set in New Jersey. There were some filmed in New Jersey, but one is actually set in New Jersey.

However, BET has a movie set in South Jersey.

The film was shot in Ocean City, Atlantic City, Ventnor and Longport.

Since these cities have already been featured in a Christmas movie, I decided to leave them off my list.

A Hallmark film released in 2022 titled Christmas at the Golden Dragon was partially shot in Cape May, but the film actually takes place in the Midwest.

Spoiler, Cape May is on my list, but my movie idea is actually set in Cape May.
