How to Watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving: Where to Stream the Peanuts Christmas Special

Peanuts fans can’t let Thanksgiving come and go without watching “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” a classic holiday ritual.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” made its television debut in 1965, and its screening became an unofficial tradition for families in the years following its release.

Peppermint Patty invites the Peanuts gang to Charlie Brown’s house for Thanksgiving, even though he will be seeing his grandmother in the 30-minute Christmas show. Snoopy and Woodstock also celebrate Turkey Day with their own “ultimate” dinner.

The Thanksgiving movie aired every year on CBS and ABC, but things changed when Apple acquired the rights to all Peanuts holiday specials, including “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving,” in 2020.

“A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will not be on television this year, although the film previously aired on PBS in 2020 and 2021.

Where can you watch “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”?

Apple TV+ is the only streaming service to offer the holiday Peanuts special. This means you may need to purchase a subscription or get access to Apple TV+ to watch it.

Apple TV+ gave non-subscribers the option to tune in on Saturday, November 23rd and Sunday, November 24th, an offer that has since expired. This year, “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will not be broadcast on the usual television channels.

Other Peanuts holiday classics, including It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Christmas, are also only available on Apple TV+.
