James Gunn names three overdubbed songs he won’t use for Superman

Filmmaker and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has yet to release the first trailer for his upcoming film Superman film, and it remains unclear what kind of music he will use for the film along with the promotional materials. Although no songs have been confirmed at this point, Gunn can name three songs habit include in the film.




On the social media platform Threads, Gunn responded to three different fans when they asked if certain songs would be included in the film, assuring each one that they would not. When a fan said that a montage to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now” would be “everything,” Gunn responded, “This has been done too often in my opinion.” When another fan politely asked him not to use “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler, Gunn remarked, “Don’t worry.” Someone else then urged Gunn to stay away from David Bowie’s Starman as well, prompting the director to write back: “Don’t worry either.”
