Orlando Weather: How cold does it get in Orlando, Central Florida? How long will it take?

Cold weather has arrived in Orlando and Central Florida – and will be with us for most of the week.

Cold air will drop nighttime temperatures into the 30s and 40s in portions of north central Florida, including Alachua and Marion counties, and into the low 40s and low across much of central Florida, including Orange, Seminole, Lake and Volusia counties 50s.

A Frost warning is in effect for portions of Putnam and Marion counties from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday, as temperatures as low as 32 degrees (minus degrees) are expected. According to the National Weather Service, people should take steps to protect their pets, plants, small children, the elderly and the homeless.

A Frost warning A no-play ban was issued for portions of Citrus and Levy counties Monday from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. as temperatures are expected to drop as low as 90 degrees Fahrenheit, which could lead to frost formation in the sports area.

How cold will it be in Orlando and Central Florida?

Temperatures are expected to drop to the 30s to 40s across much of Central Florida by Sunday night. Highs are expected to climb into the 60s on Monday and then fall back into the 50s in the evening.

How long will the cold last in Central Florida?

Forecasters say the cold is expected to last at least until Wednesday morning, with temperatures dropping during the overnight hours. Temperatures of up to 30 and 40 degrees are expected from Sunday night to Monday, Monday night to Tuesday and Tuesday night to Wednesday, with wind chills around 30 degrees.
