scattered showers on Wednesday; Much colder at the end of the week

WEDNESDAY: One of the busiest travel days of the entire year will see clouds and recurring rain throughout the afternoon and evening hours. Expect temperatures to gradually rise into the 50s and 60s. cooler north, warmer south. Scattered showers and a few storms will shift eastward during the evening hours, tending to dry out after midnight as temperatures drop into the upper 40s to near 50s.

Thanksgiving Thursday: Clouds appear to be lingering in the region as our system progresses – although one or two isolated showers cannot be ruled out, but most will remain dry. With a cool northerly breeze, you can expect temperatures to fluctuate in the upper 40s to near 50s throughout the day. A few sunny views may be possible through the afternoon before gradually clearing overnight with lows in the lower 30s.

ADVANCED FORECAST: Cool sunshine returns this weekend with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s and 30s. A clipper system sneaking past late Saturday could trigger a heavy shower before ushering in an intensifying shot of colder air. FIRST ALERT to potential for a HARD FREEZE with lows well into the lower to mid 20s early Monday morning before a slow upward trend into next week.
