Atlantic City, New Jersey: Police arrest man who pointed a gun

John Bell, a police officer from Atlantic City, New Jersey, has done it again. In this most recent example, Bell did so alongside his colleague Danny Feliciano.

Officer Bell has been instrumental and involved in several key successes for the Atlantic City Police Department this year.

Atlantic City Police:

  • two handguns seized.
  • arrested a suspect who pointed a firearm at another person.

The suspect is accused of numerous crimes.

Specifically, Atlantic City Police released the following information regarding these incidents:

“On November 24, 2024 at 11:32 p.m., patrol officers responded to Atlantic Palace in the 1500 block of Boardwalks in reference to a male in possession of a firearm. The man pointed the gun at a security guard during an argument and then fled. Officer Danny Feliciano was able to view surveillance footage of the altercation and observed Andrew Ibechem aiming the firearm. Officers learned that Ibechem may be staying at a hotel in Atlantic City. Officer John Bell located Ibechem and took him into custody. A court-approved search warrant was authorized and executed on Ibechem’s room and vehicle. During the search, officers seized two handguns, ammunition and two knives,” Atlantic City police said.

ARRESTED:

Andrew Ibechem, 29, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

FEES:

  • Unlawful possession of a weapon (four counts).
  • Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
  • serious bodily harm.
  • specific person not to own a weapon.

Ibechem is currently housed at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
