Jury selection begins Monday in Douglas County for a man charged with first-degree murder. Raymond Evans is accused of killing his girlfriend Cecilia Perez. “He wouldn’t let me see her”: Cecilia Perez’s friend felt alarmed by the murder. Her body was found in a field in Lancaster County just days after she was reported missing in November 2023. Prosecutors said Perez died from blunt force trauma.
