Smile 2 Sets Streaming Release Date

Parker Finn’s horror sequel, Smile 2has officially set its streaming release date after an impressive theatrical release.



Per variety, Smile 2 will land on Paramount+ on December 3rd. The film is also available to rent or purchase on VOD platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home. For physical media lovers: Smile 2 will be available on 4K Blu-ray Steelbook and DVD from January 21, 2025. Finn’s directorial debut, Smileis also available to stream on Hulu and Paramount+ for those who want to catch up on the exciting new horror franchise.

Similar to the first film, Smile 2 was another success for Finn, the sequel grossing $137 million worldwide, in addition to stellar reviews. The film currently has an 86% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 81% from viewers. Smile 2 The focus is on Skye Riley (Naomi Scott), a pop star who is about to embark on a comeback tour after a highly publicized battle with substance abuse. However, when Skye witnesses the strange death of her drug dealer/former classmate, she is consumed by a dark entity that drives her down a path of madness that threatens to turn her life upside down, and she must find a way to escape free the curse before it comes too late. “Smile 2” stars Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Ray Nicholson and Kyle Gallner.



Will there be a smile 3?

A third film in the series does not currently have a green light. However, the film was definitely successful enough to warrant one. The sequel grossed $137 million worldwide, narrowly beating the original film’s opening weekend domestically with an impressive $23 million. Both films were relatively cheap to produce, Smile is said to have only cost $17 million Smile 2 came to around $28 million. However, Smile 3 has yet to be confirmed, but Finn is currently developing a new film, a 1981 horror remake possession.

Finn will reportedly be working with him The Batmanis Robert Pattinson, who will serve as a producer and possibly star in the film if he finds an opening in his increasingly busy schedule.
