Here’s how to watch the 2024 Alpine Ski World Cup in Beaver Creek

Over the next two weekends, Beaver Creek will host both men’s and women’s Alpine Ski World Cup races for the first time since 2013.

The Stifel Birds of Prey races will air on NBC Sports and peacock in Beaver Creek, Colorado, the oldest World Cup stop in North America.

The men will initially race with a downhill on Friday, a super-G on Saturday and a giant slalom on Sunday. The following week, Beaver Creek hosts a Women’s World Cup stop for the first time in 11 years: a downhill on December 14th and a super-G on December 15th.

Beaver Creek has been an annual Men’s World Cup venue since 2002, although all races were canceled last year due to weather.

Norway’s Aleksander Aamodt Kilde, who won the last four World Cup races at Beaver Creek in 2021 and 2022, is out for the entire 2024-25 season after a crash in a downhill race last January.

The headliner for the men is the Swiss Marco Odermatt, the three-time reigning overall World Cup winner. Odermatt won the first of his 37 World Cup victories in Beaver Creek in 2019 at the age of 22. He remains the youngest man or woman to ever win a World Cup race at Beaver Creek.

The women’s field is expected to include Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami, who won on two consecutive days in 2013, when the Women’s World Cup last stopped in Beaver Creek.
