How to open the mythical safe

The Night Shift Mythic Vault is a new activity introduced in Season 1 of Chapter 6 Fortnite. It’s a secluded treasure trove full of goodies of all kinds and a worthwhile collector’s item in almost every way Fortnite match. Mythic Vaults typically contain any number of weapons, ammo, healing items, and slurp barrels. So you would do well to find and open the Mythic Vault whenever possible.

Just don’t expect it to be easy. Aside from being hard to find, Opening the mythical safe is a complicated processand requires you to complete several tasks before you can claim the treasure within. Here’s how to find the Mythic Vault, get its key, and finally open it Fortnite Chapter 6.

Where to find the mythical vault

Fortnite’s Mythic Vault Location

The Mythic Vault is located in the Nightshift Foresta new region Fortnite‘s current map. You can find it on the far west side of the island, north of Warrior’s Watch and south of Twinkle Terrace. The vault itself is located roughly in the middle of the forest, in the exact location indicated by the white pin icon on the map above. It is the smaller of only two buildings that occur in this forest area.

Note that the Night Shift Forest is (temporarily) cursed to remain in a perpetual state of night Visibility is poor when walking through the forest. Try to progress quickly here as there will likely be quite a bit of competition for the Mythic Vault.

How to get the Mythic Vault key

Search for Sprite Shrines

To open the mythical vault you need a key. But before you find a key, You have to find a sprite. Sprites can be found in various Sprite Shrines (see above). These are scattered across the map, and you may very well come across one if you are inconveniently far from Nightshift Forest. If you just want to get to the Mythic Vault as quickly as possible, the closest Sprite Shrine appears to be south of the forest, at the western base of the mountain overlooking Warrior’s Watch. Alternatively, there is one on the eastern edge of the forest.

If you can’t find any of these, Just watch for a beam of white light shooting straight upand follow him to the nearest Sprite Shrine. Interact with it to claim your sprite.

Finding the Bushranger

Your next step is to find the bushrangera friendly NPC who will provide you with the vault key in exchange for your sprite. The Bushranger will be in one of the three locations marked by a red circle in the image above; in other words, either on the west, south or east side of the night shift forest. Find it and select “View article” in the dialog menu to exchange sprite for keys.

This should ensure you have the safe key to hand. To begin the opening process you must do this Return to the Mythic Vault immediately as stated above.

Once you have the vault key, you can return to the mythical vault and interact with it to open the door. That’s it – no more puzzle solving or active effort required. Just wait for the door to open and go inside. What’s in the Mythic Vault can vary from game to gamebut they always contain several stacks of slurp barrels for healing, as well as at least five or six chests. These, in turn, can contain any number of items of varying rarity: weapons, consumables, accessories and everything else you find in normal chests.

More importantly, however, Each Mythic Vault also contains a Typhoon Blade. This is a strong melee weapon that allows you to perform an air bone slam attack with 70 damage and a starting attack with 90 damage in addition to your regular attack. Simply possessing the Typhoon Blade also increases your sprint speed and reduces your stamina consumption. You can also perform a particularly high jump and a mid-air sprint while sprinting.
