While most of us would love to treat ourselves to anything and everything on Black Friday or Cyber ​​Monday, times can be tough for some – especially this time of year. According to USA Today and WalletHub, “52% of shoppers said they plan to apply for a new card for holiday shopping.”

Another survey by Debt.com “found that 66% of holiday shoppers plan to take on debt.”

And look – we all know that going into debt for holiday shopping isn’t necessarily a good idea. Some of us are willing to do anything to give our families an unforgettable holiday season.

This is especially true for those with children.

Stress can do many things, including making you forget about the resources available to you. One of those resources is the state of Idaho, and no, we don’t mean a “government handout.”

We’re talking unclaimed property and according to the State of Idaho, “Millions of dollars are transferred to the unclaimed property division each year by companies that cannot locate the owners.”

It’s as easy as searching your last name or company name and you could find yourself owed several dollars here, a few dollars there… and you never know – you could have some vacation money available that you still knew about not even
