Seth Rollins confronts CM Punk and pushes him on WWE RAW

CM Punk and Seth Rollins had a heated confrontation on WWE RAW, which led to Sami Zayn challenging Rollins to a match.

CM Punk started the December 2nd episode of WWE RAW. This was his first appearance on the show since October as he took some time off following his victory over Drew McIntyre on WWE Bad Blood. Punk returned on the November 22 episode of WWE SmackDown, joining the OG Bloodline. He teamed with the OG Bloodline in the Men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series, where they emerged victorious.

On his way to the ring, Punk met Jey Uso and Sami Zayn backstage and shared a moment with them after their victory at WWE Survivor Series. Punk then wowed the crowd and looked back on the aftermath of his Hell in a Cell match. He said he knew where he was going now that he was conducting personal business for Paul Heyman, and he showed the stands where the WrestleMania sign would go. Punk said there are multiple ways to get to WrestleMania, including the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.

Punk said he could use a favor or two to get what he wanted, and Seth Rollins interrupted him. Rollins looked at Punk and said he had been thinking a lot. He said he should have knocked Punk out the day he returned and he regretted that. Rollins said a lot has happened since then and a lot of things got in the way.

He realized he was close to taking his shot, but felt sorry for him the last time they saw each other after WWE Bad Blood. Rollins said that it was time to correct his mistakes when he saw Punk next to Roman Reigns. He said he had a feeling that this would be the night he would beat CM Punk on his ass. Punk replied that he had long since stopped racing with people he didn’t know he was racing with. He said that Rollins no longer has the title and therefore it is not in his future.

Punk warned Rollins to stay out of his business because he had things he wanted to do. Rollins said Punk talked too much and he didn’t listen because it was his business. Rollins shoved Punk and they started arguing until Sami Zayn and Jey Uso broke them up. Rollins attempted to resume the fight, but officers broke them up. When they were separated, Rollins told Jey Uso to run back to Reigns.

Zayn got in his face and told him not to talk to Reigns like that. Rollins said that Uso was family, but he asked Zayn what his excuse was. Rollins said the two were closer in bloodline than Sami, and Zayn stabbed him in the back. Zayn responded that he didn’t want to work with Punk but had no other choice. Zayn said he asked Rollins to work with him and Rollins declined.

Rollins responded that he refused to help Reigns regain his power. Zayn said Rollins created this monster. Rollins accepted his responsibility but said Zayn did the same. He said that Reigns hasn’t changed. Rollins told Zayn that he was naive and stupid, and Zayn challenged him to a match. Rollins accepted the challenge.
