1 in custody after stolen car chase on Vine Street Expressway in Philadelphia; The police are looking for two more suspects

PHILADELPHIA – One person was arrested after a chase ended with a stolen car in Spring Garden Wednesday morning. Two other suspects are still being sought.

According to police, it all started around 11 a.m. in the Summersale area of ​​Philadelphia after a neighbor noticed a suspicious vehicle. When the officers arrived, the car had already disappeared, but was quickly spotted nearby.

This sparked the chase, which began on I-95 NB and entered the Vine Street Expressway WB before the driver at some point turned around and headed east on the expressway.

Chopper 6 was overhead as the silver sedan sped down the Vine Street Expressway.

Philadelphia police are searching for a driver and at least two other suspects after a chase that ended Wednesday morning in Spring Garden.

The driver weaved through traffic, narrowly overtaking several pedestrians attempting to cross the street.

Officials said a police vehicle was also struck at some point during this incident.

The car then took an exit. The driver then stopped the car, all occupants got out and ran.

Police arrested one suspect after overrunning a parking garage, but the search for two others continues.
