Sailor Moon fans finally get their first official look at the “unprecedented” Wonder Statue re-release.

After a delay of over a year, details about an upcoming one have finally been released Sailor Moon Statue first announced in June 2023. Based on the Sailor Moon Cosmos anime film, the figure is now available for pre-order for both domestic and international fans.

Fans have been waiting a long time for the release of this statue, which was originally titled “Wonder Statue Work of Art.” However, due to the recent release of new information, the name has been changed to Wonder Statue: Eternal Sailor Moon. Pre-orders began on November 26th, 2024 and will end on January 30th, 2025. While the official release date in Japan via Premium Bandai is in May 2025, those ordering in the US via retailers like BigBadToyStore will most likely see their release date come in July to. In Japan, the statue is listed at 99,000 yen, or about $650, while international fans may have to pay closer to $900.

Sailor Moon is releasing its new “Wonder Statue” for international pre-order after years of delay

The statue is 19.6 inches (approx. 50 cm) tall and depicts Sailor Moon with wings and raised scepter of the Eternal Tiare. She appears alongside nine orbs representing the Sailor Guardians coming together to attempt to fly as the Eternal Sailor Moon. The bottom of the statue is made of clear polyresin crystals with LED lights built in, allowing the statue to be powered via a USB cable. Every detail of the non-poseable figure has been carefully sculpted, from Sailor Moon’s delicate fingertips to the feathers on her wings.

Despite its high price, the Wonder Statue: Eternal Sailor Moon figure is expected to be a highly sought-after piece of merchandise that will be well received by series collectors. Sailor MoonThe official Japanese website states: “With a total height of approximately 50cm and a total width of approximately 67cm, this is an unprecedented scale. Please enjoy the detailed design that can only be achieved with a large statue.”
