Alternatives, Inc.’s Dignity Gala benefits people with disabilities throughout New Jersey

There are various ways for individuals and businesses to support alternatives, including advocacy, financial contributions, and services, to name a few. The winners of the Dignity Gala 2025 – Colgate Palmolive, The Somerset County Board of Commissionersand board member and dedicated volunteer, Joseph Westlein – have shown unwavering and truly exceptional support, enabling Alternatives to fulfill its mission every day.

The honorees have long-standing and ongoing relationships with Alternatives, where they have worked with the agency to achieve excellence while delivering notable achievements and uncompromising service within the community. In addition to contributing financially to Alternatives, Colgate Palmolive employees also volunteer at Alternatives’ group homes to help improve the landscaping and grounds. They also collaborated with Alternatives to launch a Lunch and Learn series aimed at those who have family members with disabilities. The Somerset County The Board of Commissioners has a long history of alternatives. They have supported the agency and celebrated the growth of the community through the development of nearly twenty members Somerset County Client programs. Joseph Westleina former executive at Johnson & Johnson, has brought his expertise and generosity to Alternatives for more than 25 years.

Residents and corporate sponsors come together to recognize the agency’s achievements at the Dignity Gala Saturday March 15that The Marigold in Somerset. Guests can look forward to a delightful evening including a cocktail reception, a gourmet open bar dinner and high-energy entertainment from The Kicks that is sure to get the dance floor shaking. Under the direction of Priya Karkhanis And Patricia McMurtryAdditionally, the Dignity Gala Committee curates an impressive selection of silent auction items, including exquisite jewelry, unique experiences, sports packages and luxury goods.

Alternatives, a non-profit staffing agency based in Raritanprovides housing and support services for people with disabilities across the state. Funds raised during the gala play a critical role in improving the quality of life for clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, mental health diagnoses and the homeless.
