As for the TV series itself, diversity TV critic Alison Herman calls Star Wars: Skeleton Crew a “purely nostalgic children’s adventure” in her review, while “the cast’s charm and infectious sense of wonder go a long way in selling the venture.”

“Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” from showrunners Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, follows four children as they try to return home after becoming lost in “a galaxy far, far away.” After discovering a mysterious and hidden spaceship, the four quickly form new alliances and enemies.

The new TV series is set after the fall of the Galactic Empire and in the era of the New Republic in the larger “Star Wars” timeline. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew also stars Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Nick Frost and more.
