Alabama is currently in the College Football Playoff field

The 2024 college football regular season is over and we wait for conference championship weekend and Selection Sunday to find out which 12 teams will qualify for the first expanded College Football Playoff.

The final edition of the College Football Playoff poll was announced Tuesday night, as Sunday’s picks will determine the official field. The Alabama Crimson Tide are currently in the field despite three losses on the season after finishing in 11th place on Tuesday night.

All eyes now turn to the ACC Championship game between SMU and Clemson as the Mustangs advance to the playoffs with a win or a loss. Clemson has to win to get in, meaning a Tigers win could knock the Crimson Tide out of postseason contention.

Additionally, the committee announced that Alabama, Miami, Ole Miss and South Carolina would all remain in their specific order upon completion of the season, with the Crimson Tide leading the field.
