Car and Driver profiles the best cars and trucks of 2025 under $110,000

Car and Driver has announced its list of the best cars and trucks for 2025, highlighting the best vehicles under $110,000.

“We love her. I mean, they have a lot of horsepower. They accelerate quickly, they handle really well,” Tony Quiroga, editor in chief of Car and Driver, said of the Cadillac CT4 and CT5 Blackwing.

The models are among Car and Driver’s 10 Best Cars of 2025.

“If you win the 10Best award, you will be invited to come back next year to defend your position on the list. This guarantees that there is not only the best of the new, but the best of the entire automotive market,” said Quiroga.

The 2025 list includes long-time favorites like the Honda Accord.

“I think we’ve awarded the Accord almost 40 times. This award has been around since 1983 and the Accord is a repeat winner,” said Quiroga.

The Honda Civic also made it onto the list.

“The entire Civic lineup is a winner, and that’s rare,” Quiroga said.

Newcomers like the Tesla Model 3 also deserve a place.

“The reach is great. Driving was great fun. We were blown away by how much better it was than the original Model 3,” Quiroga said.

The list of the 10 best trucks, SUVs and vans had a few surprises in store.

“There are a lot of trucks here for the money, the Ranger Raptor covers all the bases,” Quiroga said.

The Ford Ranger Raptor appeared on the list for the first time.

“It has huge off-road tires, but it has the soul of a sports car,” Quiroga said. “It’s a lot of fun to drive.”

Volkswagen’s new three-row electric van, the ID Buzz, was also impressive.

“This thing is awesome to drive. It’s certainly the fastest minivan on the market, just look at it,” Quiroga said.

The jury places more emphasis on value and overall quality than on pure design.

“Style is a bit important, but for us that’s in the eye of the beholder. I mean, some cars appeal to some people for different reasons, some cars appeal to some people for different reasons in terms of design, and some cars don’t,” Quiroga said. “But what we focus on is the value, what the customer gets, how good the car is, how well it accomplishes its mission.”
