Hong Kong-based Cathay flies to Munich and will resume Brussels service next year

Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific Airways will launch direct flights to Munich, Germany, and resume its non-stop route to Brussels, Belgium, next summer as the airline increases its number of destinations in Europe to 11.

Cathay Pacific announced on Tuesday that it will launch four weekly round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Munich from June 16. The city will be the airline’s second destination in Germany as it currently offers daily flights to Frankfurt.

The Brussels route will reopen on August 3 next year.

“We are very pleased to add Munich to our network for the first time and to return to Brussels next year. “This makes these our tenth and eleventh destinations in Europe,” said Lavinia Lau Hoi-zee, Cathay’s chief customer and commercial officer.

“Hong Kong is a world-class international financial, commercial and aviation hub and these flights offer our customers a direct connection between our hometown and two of Europe’s most important centers.”
