PlayStation Plus Essentials subscribers are looking forward to the release of free PS4 and PS5 games in December.

The next wave of PS Plus games arrives on December 3rd and is expected to launch in the UK at 11am GMT.

Of course, this is your final warning against redeeming the latest PS Plus games, including Ghostwire Tokyo and Hot Wheels 2 Turbocharged.

You also have less than 24 hours to claim your free copy of the multiplayer deduction game Death Note Killer Within.

As for December’s PlayStation Plus lineup of games, the next batch of releases will be led by cooperative puzzle adventure game It Takes Two.

A former Game of the Year winner, It Takes Two offers players the opportunity to team up in split-screen or online multiplayer.

If you want to play with someone who doesn’t own the game, there’s even a special Friend’s Pass.

Sony explains more: “Play as clashing couple Cody and May, two people turned into dolls by a magic spell.

“Together they are trapped in a fantastical world where the unpredictable hides behind every corner, and reluctantly face the challenge of saving their broken relationship.”

You’ll fight rogue vacuum cleaners and giant wasps, control a pair of underpants, DJ in a lively nightclub, and more.

It’s a hugely entertaining experience with some truly brilliant puzzles and loud humor.

Other games coming to PS Plus in December include Aliens: Dark Descent, a strategy game set in the Alien universe.

“Command a squad of hardened Colonial Marines to stop a horrific xenomorph outbreak on the planet Lethe in Aliens: Dark Descent,” reads the official description.

“Lead your soldiers in real-time combat against legendary Xenomorphs, rogue agents of the insatiable Weyland-Yutani Corporation, and a host of terrifying creatures new to the Alien series.”

Like many of the best strategy games, Aliens Dark Descent utilizes a permadeath feature, meaning that if your squad members die, they are gone forever.

I always feel like it raises the stakes and increases the tension, especially when you lose a strong member of your squad who was there from the start.

Elsewhere, PS Plus Essential subscribers will also be able to download TemTem from December 3rd.

Inspired by Pokémon, in TemTem players attempt to tame more than 165 creatures across seven different islands.
