Red Dead Redemption 2 Gets Surprise Christmas DLC You Can Download Now – News

Red Dead Redemption 2 is getting a surprise Christmas DLC that you can download now

Merry Christmas, you dirty animal

Rockstar Games has a huge, awesome reveal for all of you! And before you ask: no, it’s not Grand Theft Auto VIis the second trailer.

Instead, they have a few Christmas gifts for you in the form of free content Red Dead Redemption 2.

As revealed on the Rockstar Games blog last night, Red Dead Redemption 2‘s Online is getting a new festive mission called “A Merry Call to Arms.”

“A holiday truce should be firm, but the damned cannot be trusted. Protect decorated bases and settlements across the West – from Adler Ranch to Rhodes – from the tides of villains and villains and earn double RDO$, XP and gold in “A Merry Call to Arms.”

But that’s not all, as completing the mission with friends will earn you additional rewards (including perhaps the coolest jacket in the entire game).

“Also, participate in A Merry Call to Arms with a Persistent Posse by January 6th to receive the San Luis Shore Treasure Map and reach Wave 5 to receive the Red Winter Shotgun Coat.”

We need that GTA VI second trailer.

And even if you don’t feel like actually playing missions, you can get a ton of free stuff just by logging in.

“Celebrate the holidays in Red Dead Online by playing from December 24th to 30th to get the Green Torranca Coat. Ring in the New Year by logging in any time between December 31st and January 6th to receive a reward of a free Honor Reset, a free Emote, and a Weight Loss Tonic.”

Rockstar also announced that they are “removing the rank lock on the Krampus Shotgun” and that signing up during this period will also get you the “Winter Evans Repeater Variant.”

Really nice of them to give us all this free stuff just in time for Christmas.

But it would be much nicer if there was another gift in the form of a pendant under the Christmas tree instead…
