How to get gems from meteor events in Pisces

Gemstones are a new crafting ingredient added to fish in the Ancient Isle update.

The resource is used to craft rods in a hidden location on the new fishing island.

Where do you find gems in fish?

To find gems in Fish, you must first board your boat and head towards the ancient island to the east.

Unlike other islands, approaching the Ancient Island begins a mini-game where obstacles appear on the sea. If you hit the jagged rocks and dynamite boxes too often, your boat’s horsepower will drop to zero and it will be destroyed.

How to get gems in fish

Once you arrive on the ancient island, you will have to wait for one meteor Event take place to receive a gem. Meteor events either occur randomly or can be triggered when someone uses the Meteor Totem found in Roslit Bay. The meteor always hits the same place. If you’re traveling directly from Moosewood Island, this is the first section of the Ancient Isle you’ll encounter. The point you need to go to can be found in the coordinates 5690, 172, 633.

Once a meteor hits the Ancient Island, all you have to do is go into the crater to grab a gem. Each player can only collect one gemstone per meteor impact. The stone that appears is random and the meteor only appears on the map for a few minutes. It then disappears until the next meteor event is triggered. So you have to be quick.

What are gemstones in fish used for?

Gems are a resource used to craft certain rods in Fish. These staffs can be crafted at the Ancient Archives hidden location on the Ancient Island. To unlock the location, you need four players who have all collected the Ancient, Solar, Earth, and Eclipse fragments.

Once you have these fish fragments, you can access the Ancient Archives by going to the waterfall on the Ancient Island. You can use the zipline near where the meteor always hits to get to the waterfall. Below the top of the waterfall is a hidden entrance that leads to the Ancient Archives and the anvil used to make rods.
