Netflix Exec Addresses Potential Streaming Issues for Upcoming WWE Raw Debut

WWE’s big move to Netflix is just weeks away, as “WWE Raw” will debut on the streaming platform on January 6th. The show will take place at the state-of-the-art Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California and is set to be one of the biggest nights in WWE history if everything goes according to plan. Netflix recently experienced buffering issues during the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing event, which left some WWE fans worried about their experience watching “Raw” in 2025. However, speaking to Deadline, Netflix CCO Bala Bajaria claimed that they are ready to improve on what boxing fans saw just a few weeks ago.

“When we host live events, we want it to be seamless for each and every one of our members. That’s really important, and to put it in perspective, it was 65 million concurrent streams, right? It was a very successful evening. A A lot of people watched, the scope was very large. The interest was great. But it was certainly a big number. You can learn these things first and do them so that you get a lot of momentum. Our teams and our engineers are great, acted super quickly and stabilized it, and a lot of the members got it back up and running pretty quickly.”

Bajaria concluded by saying that everyone at Netflix is ready and excited to welcome WWE to their platform, prompting WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque to voice his opinion on the concerns. Levesque claimed that if 65 million people tune in on January 6th, he wouldn’t mind if the show flashes every now and then.
