Where to Find Christmas Tree Lights in Philadelphia

‘Tis the season for Christmas lights and festivities. With tall trees and Christmas decorations popping up all over the city, we’ve put together some light shows and ceremonies for you to consider on your own calendars!

Wednesday, December 4th: Deck the Ave Tree Lighting

Join East Passyunk neighbors at the Singing Fountain from 5-7 p.m. for the annual tree lighting and free photo op with Santa (6 p.m.)! Christmas carols will be sung live by the Central High School Concert Choir, the City Rhythm Trio and HOME: The Fanny Coppin Rockin’ Band. There will also be special food and drink specials.

Wednesday, December 4: 8th Annual Historic Holiday Tree Lighting

At 6 p.m., visit the Betsy Ross House for the Old Town Tree Lighting, complete with music and dance performances from local schools and performance groups, as well as an appearance by Santa Claus.

Thursday, December 5th: Philly Holiday Tree Lighting + Pre-Show

The official lighting of the Philly Holiday Tree will take place at City Hall from 6 to 8 p.m., with a pre-show from 3 to 6 p.m. Students always take part in the performances; community leader; the cast of Broadway’s STOMP; Liamani, star of Disney’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”; and Grammy-nominated actress Keyshia Cole. Food trucks and other vendors will also be on site.
