Humane wants to integrate the AI ​​Pin’s software into your phone, car and smart speaker

Humane, which makes the not-so-great AI Pin, wants other companies to build AI devices and gadgets that use its CosmOS operating system, and has released a video that appears to show the company already has it in a car , a television, etc. smart speaker and phone.

However, note that according to Humane’s fine print, the video is “for illustrative purposes only” – it shows “working prototypes” and some “simulated experiences” and the print states that all “designs, features and specifications” are subject to change. So don’t take it entirely at face value.

In one example, the video shows a person talking to CosmOS in their car (with a blurry logo on the steering wheel) to turn up the heat in their house and find out when people are coming over. They ask their (fuzzy) smart speaker for a guacamole recipe and their television how many goals a soccer player has scored on the screen. The video also shows CosmOS reading an email on the person’s phone and responding to a question about whether the person can join a meeting.

If you’ve been following the recent AI hype, particularly around agents, none of these examples might feel particularly new – Humane wants to show that CosmOS is capable of powerful agent-like capabilities and get companies to consider it as a possible backbone for theirs Devices. But the items in this video are not Humane’s own products and Humane obviously makes no promise to manufacture them. An SDK is being created so others can do this.
