Customers at the Idaho salon “dropped like flies” after the owner’s tirade about “racist, homophobic, misogynistic” Trump voters

Customers are “dropping like flies” at an Idaho beauty salon after the owner called supporters of President-elect Donald Trump “racist, homophobic and misogynistic” in a now-viral TikTok.

“Trump basically gave little men the ability and the courage to be misogynistic and hateful and to say things like ‘Your body, my choice’ and ‘You will have no choice’ and ‘You will give birth to my child if.’ “You like it.'” or not,'” Tiffney Prickett, the owner and operator of Voiage Salon in Coeur d’Alene, said in the video.

“The comments are so disgusting. The things men say to women are so disgusting. And I don’t know why more men don’t defend women. I don’t know why men observe aggression towards women and do nothing. I don’t understand it,” the 40-year-old added.

The divorced mother of three said that when another man mistreats a woman, men usually “shrug it off.”

“I don’t understand why more men don’t have the courage to stand up to these little men who think they can do whatever they want and tell women whatever they want. And I’m just sick of it.” , the stylist concluded.

It didn’t take long before the businesswoman in the deep red state found herself in a difficult situation with many of her customers.

“So I suffer the consequences of my own actions. I just had a client send her husband to my salon and demand a refund for gift cards they had already purchased because I believed that if you support a racist, homophobic, misogynist rapist, that’s okay because you support it has them that you are actually these things,” she explained in a subsequent video.

“And she was so offended by this that he said she didn’t feel comfortable coming to my salon anymore.”

She said she had no love lost when she broke up with the 15-year-old client.

“I didn’t want to deal with them anyway because I knew the whole family were Trump supporters because I’ve looked after them for 15 years and attended their family gatherings and family events. She has given me gifts over the years. She was a very good client,” Prickett said, seeming aware of the severity of her loss as she recounted her past.

“I knew she was a Republican, and I have no problem with you being a Republican. I have a problem with the fact that you want to deprive people of human rights,” she added.

“I will stand up for human rights and suffer these consequences.”

After the backlash grew, Prickett responded to comments saying she was “wrong” and would “lose her business.”

“If I lose my business because… I posted a video saying if you support a racist, misogynistic, homophobic rapist and you’re okay with that, then I guess I’m going to lose my business,” she said without apology.

In another rant, Prickett responds to someone who advised her to keep an open mind and allow for comfortable political differences.

Prickett simply responded “No” and explained that the difference between Trump supporters and her is not “opinion” but “morality.”

In a video last week, Prickett revealed that she had lost even more Trump-supporting customers, saying, “They’re dropping like flies.”

For emphasis, Prickett added that she would “rather go work at Chipotle” than allow Trump supporters to “feel comfortable” in her salon.

Since her tirade went viral, the Prickett’s Voiage Salon website appears to no longer be active.
