Hall of Famer Barry Sanders joins El Car Wash as a partner

DETROIT – El Car Wash announced in a press release that NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders has taken an ownership stake in the company.

Sanders, widely considered one of the greatest running backs in NFL history and a Detroit Lions Hall of Fame legend, will play a key role in El Car Wash’s expansion throughout Michigan.

“Barry’s legendary career, commitment to excellence and deep ties to Michigan make him an ideal partner as we continue to grow and expand our presence in the Midwest,” said El Car Wash Co-CEOs Justin Landau and Geoffrey Karas. “His involvement will undoubtedly help us bring our vision of world-class car care to a new region, and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come.”

El Car Wash opened its first location in Brighton, Michigan, and its second location in Madison Heights, Michigan, at the corner of 14 Mile Rd. and Stephenson Hwy, earlier this year. earlier this week.

The Miami-based company has donated over $350,000 to various organizations over the past three years, often partnering with local schools, hospitals, first responders and charities, the release said.

They are also focused on creating employment opportunities for all, with dedicated hiring programs for neurodivergent individuals and veterans that they hope to replicate at their new locations in Michigan.
