The Bangor Restaurant is partnering with area businesses to make the holiday season easier for those in need

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – While the holidays can be an exciting time, for some it is the hardest time of the year.

That’s why a local restaurant decided to partner with area businesses to make this holiday season a little brighter.

Kobe Ninja House Japanese Grill has decided to expand its community support in Bangor.

When customers enter the restaurant, there is a sign that reads: If anyone needs a hot meal, they will provide it, no questions asked.

A table in the front with goods for four-legged friends also welcomes customers.

They have partnered with the Bangor Humane Society and will be hosting a fundraiser through December 20th.

The manager said they would encourage other companies to do this because something like this could have a lasting impact on someone’s life.

“This time of year in particular can be hard for a lot of people and we just wanted to give the community a little extra support and then do our part to make sure they get a good hot meal and don’t have to worry about where their next meal is at the door,” said Tia Hardy, manager at Kobe Ninja House Japanese Grill.

Their employees also donated an entire meal to the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter.

If anyone would like to contribute to the Bangor Humane Society’s fundraiser, they can bring an item to the store and be entered into the drawing.

They will give the winner one of four $50 gift certificates to their restaurant.
