Video shows two suspects in a stolen car crash that killed a man

Police have released surveillance video of a fatal car-pedestrian crash in late November in hopes of finding clues to the people involved.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred just before 2 a.m. Nov. 28 at East Lake Mead Boulevard and Sloan Lane. When first responders arrived, they found a man who had apparently been struck by a vehicle and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators determined the man was on a scooter and was crossing East Lake Mead against the pedestrian light. A stolen 2013 Hyundai Sonata speeding east struck the man, police said. The Hyundai continued east and entered a parking lot in the 6000 block of East Lake Mead, striking several solid objects. The driver and a passenger fled the scene of the accident.

The video appears to show two men running on the street, one wearing white sweatpants and the other wearing gray sweatpants. It also shows a scooter rider.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects in the video or has information about this incident is asked to contact the Metro Fatal Detail Unit at 702-828-3595 or email at [email protected]. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or at crimestoppersofnv.com.
