‘Impostor’: Pulitzer winner criticizes Dwyane Wade’s sculptor, reveals real problem with artwork

Not only the fans but also former players and current stars of the game have criticized Dwyane Wade’s statue. The long list includes Carmelo Anthony, the Inside the NBA team, Draymond Green, Gilbert Aarenas and several others. But since the revelation, the Miami Heat legend and his wife have defended any criticism of them and the sculptors. But the talk hasn’t stopped yet. They now have another critic on their roster, a Pulitzer Prize-winning senior art critic for New York Magazine.

Let’s clear this up first. Jerry Saltz didn’t know Dwyane Wade or his work. So, according to Pablo Torre, he was the perfect critic. After watching the video ofThis is my house’ Statue, Saltz had more than two cents to say about the artwork. “That’s correct. It doesn’t look like him at all. What I’m trying to say is that it’s an absolutely shitty piece of art because it looks like a little mini-statue on top of some idiotic store-bought trophy.”

D-Wade has admitted to being part of the entire process and watching it closely. After unveiling the statue, Wade released a BTS clip showing his involvement in examining clay models and providing input. The sculptors even confirmed that the three-time champion was happy with the results and only then took the next steps. But the failed similarity causes the 73-year-old to question the entire process.

There is nothing other than the pose… it has no character, it has no atmosphere, it has no internal scale, it has no feel for its material.” Saltz continued: “Most likely they found a photo, scanned it or something, and reproduced it. It’s crap. Yeah, how much did they pay for it, $100? $200?

Saltz has been working as an art critic since 2006. Of course, his criticism didn’t end there. He even responded to the video about the sculptors defending their design. “It looks like art by more than one person with no touch, no hand, just an idea.” above Pablo Torre finds out. “They’re not even artists, these two guys. They are entrepreneurs, they are fraudsters, they don’t know.” Later he added the word “allegedly” from scammers to avoid lawsuits.

Saltz spoke about Omri Amrany and Oscar León of Rotblatt Amrany Studio, who created the Dwyane Wade statue. Interestingly, it is the same studio that created statues of other NBA greats such as Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. As someone who draws inspiration from the MJ statue, Wade is as happy as can be and he pays no mind to the criticism.

But the family fully supported the creation from the moment the criticism began. The Heat legend was the first person in franchise history to receive such an honor. For The Flash, the first statue he ever saw was that of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan. Being in the same category really excites him.

“To be at this point in my life where I know that the same feeling I had when Jordan got his statue is the same feeling little children will have when they get the opportunity to visit mine , Families who come are able to create memories and moments.” Dwyane Wade didn’t stand alone against the critics, his wife also got involved.

One thing about @dwyanewade He really isn’t moved or motivated by Nan negativity. Trust me, I tried!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣,Gabrielle Union captioned the story on her Instagram, sharing the Miami Heat’s post in which Dwyane Wade once again mocked the critics. “I care, but I don’t care.

Jerry Saltz in no way attempted to disparage the Heat legend or his performance. But he expected much better, just like the rest of the fans.
