Here are the Marvel Rivals characters players already hate

Marvel Rivals has been out for a day or two now and the game is finding its rhythm. And by finding the groove, what I mean is that people are already extremely annoyed with a number of characters and are either tired of competing against them or feel like they have to use them themselves in order to be competitive.

Of course, that’s the standard for any hero shooter, and Marvel Rivals is no different. There will be balance patches and such soon, but for now there are certainly some characters that are more taxing than others.

Iron Fist – I definitely think Iron Fist is number one as he has absolutely wild mobility as a melee fighter, including a triple jump and sprint. He’s extraordinarily elusive, and if you do, he’ll probably hit you right in the face and beat you to death.

Poison – Have you ever tried to kill a Venom? The Tank is easily the most common choice for this role, and his ability to bombard himself with a massive health burst every time he runs out of energy never ceases to be irritating. Even worse, unlike most chonky tanks, he has considerable mobility in the form of a web swing, meaning he can land behind you on your squishies to mess them up, or tank in the middle of the chaos if necessary can.

Spider-Man – Essentially the same problem with Iron Fist, although perhaps not quite as good. Still, as expected, he has a lot of mobility, but in addition to melee combat, he also has ranged abilities in the form of webs, and his ultimate ability is an AOE nightmare.

Jeff – I always love having Jeff on my team (or anyone willing to play healer for that matter), but going against him? His subterranean escape skills are exhausting, and his subterranean bite that takes you either miles away from the action or right into the rest of his team is deeply annoying.

Star Lord – I love playing as him. I hate being shredded by him. A duelist with insane damage output, he also has unlimited mobility and virtually no cooldown. He can easily escape most situations or get behind your team for his AOE shooting attack. And his auto-target ultimate is more or less an automatic triple kill or more due to his sheer damage output.

Honorable Mentions: Psylocke, Cloak and Dagger, Loki, Black Widow, Moon Knight

I’m sure other people here have their own tips, but these definitely seem to stand out in the early hours of the game. I’m not calling for immediate nerfs, but as always, both nerfs and buffs will be available here soon once things clear up.
