‘FBI: International’: Jay Hayden Previews Agent Tyler Booth’s ‘Checkered Past’ (Exclusive)

FBI: International gets a new agent Station 19is Jay Hayden, and the actor spoke to PopCulture.com about his big debut on tomorrow’s episode of “Keen as a Bean.” Hayden portrays Agent Tyler Booth, a former colleague of Jesse Lee Soffer’s Wes, who enlists the help of the Fly Team to help him capture an American on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list “by lures him out of Russia with the help of the perpetrator’s contradictory marriage.” Wife.”

Hayden tells PopCulture that Tyler has “kind of a checkered past.” He continued: “It’s not all roses and rainbows that come from what they used to do together. Starting with playing a firefighter in Seattle Ward 19 It’s not that easy to find an FBI agent who ends up in Budapest. So what exactly attracted Hayden to this role? He shared that executive producer and writer Matt Olmstead “wrote the character so well, but I could really identify with his relationship with his daughter and how much he cares for her and how reactive he can be at times about her safety .” So I have a lot to do with it. And also how his daughter sometimes has to advise her father and raise her father, so to speak. This seems kind of familiar to me in real life. I really love it and feel quite connected to it.”

While it sounds fun to play a new character in a new land, it wasn’t that easy. In fact, it was “really hard,” Jay Hayden admitted. “I won’t lie. There is a time difference of 9 hours. So people wake up and do all these things and vice versa. And it was like having children in real life. So I try to check in with them and FaceTime them. They said, “Dad, I’m going to bed,” or “Dad, I’m not even awake yet.” For example, “Okay. I just miss you so much.’”

“And on the one hand, it’s beautiful there and there’s a lot of great restaurants and it’s great,” Hayden continued. “But it’s an adjustment, you know. I never found a Whole Foods and searched the whole street. No. It’s cool. I got there. The entire cast knows where to go. They know where to eat, where to hang out and shop. Jesse apparently found every golf course within 100 miles. So it was an adjustment. It took me a week and a half to sleep through the night out there. And today I’ve been back for a week. I still wake up at 3:30 in the morning.”

It sounds like it’s going to be an interesting ride with Jay Hayden as Tyler Booth, and fans will get to see what he’s all about in his first episode of FBI: International airs this Tuesday, December 10th at 9pm ET on CBS.
