John Collins draws energy from Windmill Dunk

SALT LAKE CITY โ€“ Utah Jazz forward John Collins showed off his dynamic athleticism by completing a windmill slam dunk after a breakaway steal.

The Jazz (5-18) host the Phoenix Suns (12-11) at the Delta Center on Friday, December 13th.

Collins stepped in front of a pass intended for Kevin Durant and made the rest look easy. The eighth-year forward scored his fifth point of the night with a right-handed windmill slam.

Collins has been great as a veteran for a young Jazz team this season. He averages 18 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in nearly 29 minutes per game.

Utah and Phoenix go back and forth in a high-scoring first half. With six minutes left, the Jazz lead 58:55.

Jazz and Suns rested after a long break

Utah returns to the court after a rare four-day break following a 141-97 loss to the Sacramento Kings.

The Suns are also looking to bounce back from a loss after losing 115-110 on the road to the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

Phoenix will be looking to end a six-game road losing streak when they travel to Utah, having lost games in Sacramento, Oklahoma City, Minnesota, New Orleans and Miami before Sunday’s loss.

The Suns’ last road win came on November 12th at Utah.

All six of the Suns’ road losses came without superstar Kevin Durant, who has struggled with calf and ankle injuries over the past month.
