Conor McGregor is seeking a multi-fight pact with Terence Crawford, but Canelo Alvarez could book his own match with the unbeaten light middleweight if negotiations with Turki Alalshikh come to fruition.

Canelo Alvarez is expected to face Terrence Crawford in a monumental contest in 2025. This would send Conor McGregor into an uncertain future.

34-year-old Canelo Alvarez is a renowned elite pugilist of his time. He has an outstanding record of 62-2-2. Canelo holds titles in various categories, including light heavyweight, light middleweight and middleweight, and currently holds the WBA (Super), WBC and WBO super middleweight records.

In his 62-2-2 career, he has defeated the who’s who in boxing. Canelo’s last fight saw him defend his titles in September thanks to a unanimous decision win over Edgar Berlanga.

After fighting big names like Gennady Golovkin, Billy Joe Saunders, Amir Khan and Miguel Cotto over the years, boxing enthusiasts are unsure who is left to destroy when it comes to Canelo’s legacy. However, the Mexican star recently revealed that he is open to talks with Saudi Arabian advisor Turki Alalshikh about major boxing competitions for 2025.

The revelation comes after Alalshikh just stated that he wants to negotiate with Canelo over a possible fight with Terence Crawford. “Now I’m working on other things. I enjoy my family. I’m not talking about boxing yet. So maybe we will start in January,” Canelo said while speaking to the media. Canelo.

“I never say no to deals. “So if it’s business for me, I’m open to conversation no matter what,” Canelo said. Although the comments may not go down well with UFC icon McGregor, who recently challenged Crawford in a multi-fight agreement.

“Big respect to @tbudcrawford! 100 million dollars in one fight, 1 in MMA, 1 in boxing. $200 million!” posted McGregor in October. On the other hand, Crawford’s original response was a succinct “tried,” which he later confessed: “I said to Conor, ‘Hell no.’ They called me and offered me the fight and me and Conor got on the phone and started trying to figure something out,” he said.

Crawford mentioned that he wouldn’t be thrilled to step into the Octagon and allow McGregor to “kick and elbow and fuck me,” but it appears the fighter has changed his stance. He immediately shared a story on Instagram saying, “Aye! Conor (McGregor)! I’m going back to the mat! Hang in there, baby! We work!”

In the event Crawford chooses a contest with McGregor over Canelo, match celebrants shouldn’t worry as Canelo has also hinted that it’s likely he will seek revenge on Jake Paul following his controversial win over Mike Tyson in November becomes. “I think about it when I see the struggle and the injustice, but we’ll see,” Canelo hinted.
