Tyla is #1 Afrobeats Artist of 2024, “Water” Top Song

Tyla caps a groundbreaking year by landing at No. 1 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs Artists year-end 2024 review. The South African singer, who debuted at No. 14 last year, jumps to the No. 1 spot thanks to a flurry of hits from her self-titled debut album, the was released in March, and the runaway hit “Water,” which ended the year as the No. 1 track on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs year-end chart completes.

After “Water” opened, Tyla’s self-titled debut album solidified her position on the US Afrobeats Songs chart, where 10 of the 14 tracks on the album’s standard edition charted.
