“Squid Game” video game free for non-Netflix subscribers

Netflix is ​​bucking its tradition of putting paywalls on its ever-growing lineup of mobile games by making its upcoming battle royale title “Squid Game” free to non-members for a “limited time” at launch.

The announcement that “Squid Game: Unleashed” would be free at launch for non-Netflix members came at Thursday’s Game Awards in Los Angeles, where Netflix also unveiled new footage from Season 2.
