United just added eight new flights from Denver, including to Rome for the first time

United Airlines will make traveling to Rome easier next summer and will offer the first non-stop flight from Denver to the “Eternal City”.

The new flight, part of eight new nonstop flights the airline will add next year from Denver International Airport (DEN), will depart May 1, 2025 and will operate daily using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, United said Travel + leisure. The new route will operate until September 24, 2025.

“United’s continued commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience in Denver is underscored by these new routes and the nearly $1 billion in investments we have made to improve the customer experience and provide greater convenience,” says Jonna McGrath, vice president of United’s Denver hub. said in a statement shared with T+L. “As Denver’s home airline, we are proud to offer more destinations than any other airline. “We offer Coloradans and travelers passing through Denver unmatched flexibility and opportunities to explore the destinations they love most.”

With the addition of Rome, the airline announced it will operate flights from Denver to more than 20 international destinations, complementing its current year-round daily flights to London and Frankfurt, as well as its service to Munich.

In addition, United announced that it will launch several additional nonstop flights from the city of Mile High starting in the spring, including once-daily flights to Buffalo, NY, Pensacola, FL, North Bend, OR, Peoria, IL, Redding, CA and Regina in Saskatchewan, Canada. The airline will also offer flights from Denver to Wilmington, North Carolina, on Saturdays starting May 24.

In total, the airline plans to fly nonstop from Denver to more than 160 U.S. and more than 20 international destinations.

The new routes come as United plans to introduce free Wi-Fi next year and has introduced a tap-to-pay feature so passengers can use their cell phones to pay for items on board.
