EA Sports PGA Tour

I love a good golf game and EA Sports PGA Tour is the best of them all. As the “Exclusive Home of the Majors,” EA Sports PGA Tour is the only game that allows you to tee off at the Masters Tournament, Open Championship, PGA Championship and US Open with either your custom golfer or a selection of professionals.

Aside from the excellent tracks and wonderful graphics, the gameplay is what really sets EA Sports PGA Tour apart. EA’s Pure Strike system, powered by PGA Tour ShotLink and TrackMan data, delivers realistic golf swings that allow you to truly shape your shots and approach any situation the way you want. Additionally, the career mode is much more comprehensive and far superior to PGA Tour 2K23.

If you’re interested, EA Sports PGA Tour is included in Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play. However, the Deluxe Edition is currently on sale for just $8.49 / £8.49 / €9.49, which is an absolute steal in my book.

Encryption

Inscryption is one of those games that you have to go into completely blind – seriously, stop reading this and just buy it. Described as “a pitch-black card-based odyssey that combines deck-building roguelike, escape room-style puzzles and psychological horror into a blood-soaked smoothie,” Inscryption is truly something special.

It’s unsettling, exciting and full of constantly evolving mechanics that keep the card game feeling fresh. I honestly can’t say much more because it would spoil the fun, but trust me, Inscryption is definitely worth the $7.99 / £6.69 / €7.99 it currently costs on the Xbox Store value.

Jurassic world development

As much as I enjoyed the sequel, it’s still the first Jurassic World Evolution game that’s my favorite – and that’s a good thing, because it’s also the cheapest of the two in this sale at 90% off. This game really did a good job of capturing the thrill of Jurassic Park. The rainy night, the stormy sky when you release your first T-Rex into the park and hear the iconic roar – it’s awesome.

The game also depends on how you want to play your park: create the best possible haven for your creatures, or watch chaos erupt when it breaks out yet again. Either way, you’ll be responsible for bioengineering a wide range of dinosaurs and building the best park possible while balancing the demands of the science, entertainment or security factions and the demands of your guests.

In addition to sorting fossils and DNA sequencing, modifying dinosaurs, guest attractions, and an (admittedly fairly limited) design aspect of the park itself, you also have to organize emergency response to your dinosaur escapes. You can even control the helicopters to do things yourself. Add to that the fact that some of the film’s main actors return in their roles (everyone loves Jeff Goldblum’s voiceover), and the whole thing makes for some excellent dino fun.

Jurassic World Evolution is available at 90% off for $4.99 / £3.99 / €4.99.

Crime Boss: Rockay City

Crime Boss: Rockay City got off to a terrible start, receiving mixed reviews and receiving unflattering praise as one of the worst games of 2023. Despite its poor start, in-game studios have struggled with the first-person shooter, and it’s now incredibly fun. After a plethora of updates, I dove into Crime Boss: Rockay City earlier this year and had a lot of fun.

Two modes are available: a Payday-style multiplayer mode in which up to four players attempt to pull off daring heists, and a roguelike single-player mode. Personally, I prefer the campaign because it features a lot of actors that I grew up watching. The Risk-style roguelike gameplay offers good replay value as you level up slowly.

If you want to start a new game without breaking the bank, I recommend you give Crime Boss a try. It’s a lot of fun and there’s still a lot of content on the way in 2025. Unfortunately, the DLC is no longer free, but if you’ve already purchased it, you’ll have everything you need to complete it!

Crime Boss: Rockay City is available at 50% off for $9.99 / £7.99 / €9.99.

Gunfire Reborn

I had a lot of fun with Gunfire Reborn when it came to Xbox Game Pass in 2022. It has been out of service since then. So if you like roguelike shooters and feel like taking a look, this is a good time to add it to your collection. Gunfire Reborn is a cooperative, rogue-like first-person shooter for up to four players that tasks you with fighting your way through procedurally generated levels to face off against various boss enemies.

It can be difficult at first, but once you start unlocking new characters and finding your playstyle with the plethora of upgradeable weapons you’ll find in the game, it becomes a colorful thrill that you’ll be hard-pressed to put down . I loved Gunfire Reborn and would recommend it to anyone looking for a game to jump in and out of.

Gunfire Reborn is available at 50% off for $9.99 / £8.99 / €9.99.
