The Baltimore Ravens have a dynamic former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver

The Baltimore Ravens have requested a waiver for wide receiver Steven Sims. The Houston Texans released Sims on Friday and will now land in Baltimore after cutting ties with Diontae Johnson. On the other hand, Johnson ended up with the Texans, who claimed him as their own.

Sims is a returner the Ravens have been looking for all season. Desmond King was the returner against the Steelers on Saturday, but he fumbled twice. Meanwhile, wide receiver Tylan Wallace had previously been the Ravens’ return man, but as his role in the offense grew, it took it in a different direction.

Sims appeared in seven games but did not record a reception. He has seven kick returns for 195 yards and 16 punt returns for 99 yards. Sims added zero yards rushing to his offensive totals.

Sims entered the NFL from Kansas and made the Washington Commanders squad. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers then picked him up and Sims was the team’s returner and slot receiver for the 2022 season.
