Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have “strong intentions” of staying “connected” even after their divorce

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez still plan to “stay connected” after their divorce, a source tells Page Six exclusively.

“They have every intention of continuing to be involved in each other’s lives even if they aren’t romantically involved,” the insider shares, four months after the “Hustlers” actress filed for divorce from the “Batman” star.

“Ben and Jennifer are still connected and communicating when it comes to their children.”

The exes began dating in 2002 after working together on the set of Gigli. They first got engaged in November of that year, but broke up in January 2004. Years later, in 2021, the two rekindled their romance – and got engaged for a second time.

Back in August, on the second anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia (which they held after their elopement in Las Vegas on July 17, 2022), Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck.

The actor was married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2015. Together they raise their three children: Violet (18), Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12).

Despite Affleck and Lopez’s recent split, we’re told the exes “have a mutual respect for each other” that “won’t disappear overnight.”

“Of course things weren’t the same, but they have a long history,” our source tells us about the Oscar winner, 52, and the “Let’s Get Loud” singer, 55.

And the two have already proven that together they can keep a cool head in public. Just last week, Affleck, Lopez and Garner, 52, came together to support their children in a school play.

The trio arrived at the school event in Los Angeles last Friday, where they saw Seraphina perform alongside Emme, Lopez and Marc Anthony’s 16-year-old daughter.

“Affleck and Lopez’s kids go to the same school, so they’re definitely spending time together,” the insider tells Page Six.

“Ben and Jennifer remain friendly whenever they see each other. They still have a close relationship with each other’s children, and even though they don’t have a co-parenting relationship, they still feel like a blended family in many ways.”

Reps for Affleck and Lopez did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
