Those memories of Blackbeard’s cave still break my heart in Bayville

Experience the nostalgia of family fun at Blackbeard’s Cave! From arcade games to bumper boats. Remember the go-karts and more at this local gem that closed a few years ago.

Blackbeard’s Cave was a great place for my daughter and I miss the great memories she and I used to have.

I went to the arcade with her and her friends and then made my way to the bumper boats and mini roller coaster. It was enchanting for small children.

Blackbeard’s Cave was a small adventure amusement park on Rt. 9 in Bayville, New Jersey. There were lots of adorable smaller rides in the Adventure Station. There were swings, a cute dinosaur ride, a dragon coaster that the kids loved, and more. They had a bouncy castle, batting cages, a climbing wall and go-karts. The fun we had at Tank Day.

As parents of younger children in the Bayville, Beachwood and Pine Beach area, this was perfect for us to bring the kids. We didn’t have to drive to Seaside Heights or Point Pleasant Beach for summer boardwalk fun, we had it right in our town.

We had so many events and performances at Blackbeard’s Cave. They had a little snack bar on the side, near the mini golf course, across from the batting cages, and they had specials for our listeners when they came out, it was just a good time. The memories never end.

We are still wondering what will actually happen to the building. Will it be demolished? Will it become a park?

These pictures show the dilapidated and abandoned Blackbeard’s. It’s so sad to think that not so long ago we had a lot of fun at Blackbeard’s. Just seeing the water being drained from the bumper boats helped me. Check these out. All the memories come back to me.

It’s that BEFORE and AFTER pictures of Blackbeard’s Cavelook at them…
