JCPS will also have snow days Tuesday and Wednesday

OVER TO SHAQ. YES, SUSANNE. AND WE’RE FOLLOWING THE LATEST NEWS THAT ARRIVED IN OUR NEWSROOM A FEW MINUTES AGO. CPS ANNOUNCES THAT ALL CLASSES ARE CANCELED ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY DUE TO THIS WINTER STORM. YOU, QUOTE, WANT TO GIVE FAMILIES AND EMPLOYEES ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE THE NECESSARY PLANS. So again, a few minutes ago in our newsroom: Classes are canceled on Tuesday and Wednesday. ALL ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE SCHOOL AND SPORTS EVENTS ARE ALSO CANCELED. SO THAT PARENTS CONTINUE TO MAKE THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENTS THEY MAY NEED. BUT THE COURSES WILL ALSO BE CANCELED TOMORROW AND WEDNESDAY. NOW BACK OUT HERE, LIVING IN DOWNTOWN NEW ALBANY. AND HERE, FROM US IN DOWNTOWN NEW ALBANY, IT LOOKED EVEN A LITTLE BETTER. THE ROAD CONDITIONS ARE A LITTLE BETTER, BUT OFFICIALS SAY THEY STILL WANT PEOPLE TO TAKE THEIR TIME ON THESE ROADS. The snow seems to be lightening a little, which is of course a great thing. Now we saw a few cars out here on the streets. We know some people have to go to work, right? But overall, when I spoke to the Indiana State Trooper a few hours ago, he said he was really surprised to see that there weren’t that many cars on the roads. So that’s definitely a great thing. BUT IF YOU HAVE TO GO ON THE ROAD, OF COURSE TAKE YOUR TIME. You know, looks can be deceiving. You know, we’ve been talking about these road conditions all morning. Things might look good, and then you might be traveling on some dry ice or whatever. So just remember how you all

It was a snow day for Jefferson County Public Schools on Monday, and now it looks like students won’t be returning to class until later this week. The state’s largest county is also closing Tuesday and Wednesday after Louisville was hit by its biggest snowstorm in more than two decades. The city received nearly 10 inches on Sunday alone and got more ice and snow on Monday. Further closures and delays can be found here. JCPS is also canceling all sports and extracurricular activities. JCPS said the reason is to “give families and employees enough time to make necessary plans.” Read more about the storm below:

It was a snow day at Jefferson County Public Schools on Monday, and now it looks like students won’t be returning to class until later this week.
